Overhauling R-985's for over 35 years
When engines need new life, a lot of customers send them to us rather than to the factory. Our full-service shop performs major overhauls on the common engines used in seaplanes: Pratt R-985 and Continental I0-520, TSI0-520 and 0-470. For top overhauls, any engine is acceptable.
Unlike many engine-overhaul shops, ours offers magnaflux, zyglo and ultrasonic testing. Since most engines we work on are intended for seaplanes, we routinely provide a little extra care. The R-985, for instance, gets an additional coat of paint up front and larger spark-plugs to keep out moisture. |

If you’d prefer to do your own overhaul, we offer cleaning, magnaflux, zyglo and ultrasonic testing on your parts. |
